In a critical weekend for the men, Deegan came up big with a pair of season best performances on the road versus Plattsburgh and Potsdam. The Red Dragons ended up with a weekend split, but its win against Potsdam secured them a berth in the SUNYAC tournament.
On Friday night, Deegan came off the bench to score a collegiate best 17 points in a loss to Plattsburgh. The next day, he once again came off the bench to lead Oneonta with 16 points in a 72-60 win.
In the two games, Deegan made 14-of-24 shots while collecting eight rebounds, four steals, three assists and two blocks.
In 19 games this season, Deegan is averaging just over seven points and two rebounds per game while shooting nearly 50 percent from the field.
