Akerley was Oneonta’s top finisher this past weekend at the SUNYAC cross country championships. Akerley finished second overall to lead the men to a second consecutive second place team finish.

Akerley’s finish in the race was the best place-finish in the history of the men’s program at the conference championship meet. His performance earned him selection into the SUNYAC cross country Hall of Fame becoming the ninth male to earn this honor.
