The SUNY Oneonta men’s cross country team opened its 2017 campaign with a convincing first place finish at the Wildcat Invitational hosted by SUNY Poly. The Red Dragons took eight of the top-10 places in scoring 23 points, 15 points ahead of second place Oswego.

Leading Oneonta in the race was junior Devin Akerley who was the overall winner in the race covering the 6K distance in a time of 19:32. Akerley’s time was just shy of his personal best in the distance by four seconds.
