Sabatino went 2-for-6 in the opening two games of the 2017 season. She drove in a pair of runs while connecting on her first home run of the season against Concordia-Chicago. She collected five total bases for an .833 slugging percentage.

The Red Dragons split its first two games falling to No. 17 Moravian, 4-3, and shutting out Concordia-Chicago 11-0 in five innings.
