Carey captured a pair of SUNYAC titles this past week at the conference championship where the Red Dragons finished 4th overall. She won both the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke events.  Both of her winning times were new school records and both of her victories were not close.  She won the 100 breast in 1:05.82 more than one second better than the runner-up.  In the 200 breast, she touched in 2:25.77 nearly three seconds ahead of the second place swimmer.  Her 200 time shaved more than four seconds off the previous school record.
 
Carey was also part of the 200 and 400 medley relays, which earned her two more medals to give her four for the championship.  The 400 medley relay posted a school record time of 1:50.09.
