Bethel recorded five wins en route to winning the title at 285 pounds at the RIT Invitational. His title helped Oneonta secure a tie for second place at the 12-team tournament.

Bethel’s day included two pins, a tech-fall and a 3-0 decision against No. 10 ranked Austin Shrewsbury of WPI in the championship match.

Bethel, who is ranked No. 3 nationally, is currently 17-1 on the season with nine pins.
