Weinert earned his first indoor All-American honor this past weekend at the NCAA Division III indoor track & field championships with a second place finish in the weight throw.

Weinert entered the championship seeded fifth in the event and, on his third throw of the day, soared past the 20-meter mark for the first time of his career. His toss of 20.47m (67’ 2”) was one meter farther than his previous personal best in the event. His mark reset his own school record while bettering the SUNYAC record, which he owned as well.
