Rookie heavyweight James Bethel continued his dominating season with four more wins, each coming by pin fall.
He pinned Kelsey Patten of RIT in 4:14 of t he first round before pinning both Dillion Hudson of Oswego and Joseph Sprung of Ithaca in just a minute and a half in the quarterfinals and semifinals, respectively. In the championship bout, he pinned Brockport’s nationally ranked Cole Tristram in 3:59.
Bethel sits at 22-4 on the season, and has not lost since the New York State Tournament on November 23.
