Ascher had an incredible spring for the Red Dragons as its No. 1 starting pitcher.  He finished the season with a 6-4 record and a 1.82 ERA.  In 69 innings on the mound, he allowed only 47 hits while striking out 82 batters.  He started 10 games and completed three of them and recorded two shutouts.  One of his shutouts was against Kean University, who was ranked No. 3 nationally at the time.  Opponents hit only .193 against him this spring.
