Genovesi helped the women’s cross country team make a statement last Saturday with its fifth place finish a the NCAA Atlantic Region Championhips at Letchworth State Park. The fifth place finish for the women was its best team finish ever, bettering its ninth place finish from two years ago.

Marielle finished in 32nd place with a time of 22:32. She was the second Red Dragon runner to cross the finish line. She set a new personal best time after previously setting it back at the Inter-Regional Rumble in October.

Genovesi earned All-Region honros for her performance on Saturday and will be headed to the NCAA Championships.
