SUNY Oneonta Athletics

   On Friday, Wright scored in the second half to propel the team to the championship game of the SUNYAC Tournament. In the 59th minute, she was able to collect a loose ball, make one move to get around the defender and slot a ball to the back post before Cortland’s keeper was able to come out and make the save.
    On Saturday, Wright made the most of her opportunity from the penalty spot. She broke by a defender on the endline and was pulled down inside the box. She confidently stepped up and placed it past the keeper to help Oneonta beat Plattsburgh 2-1 and claim their 10th conference tournament title.
    Wright was named to the All-Tournament team for her play
during the weekend.
