SUNY Oneonta Athletics

In his only appearance last week, Jones walked off a winner on senior day.  Playing in his last home game in a Red Dragon uniform, he drove in the game-tying and game-winning runs while picking up his first collegiate win as a pitcher, as SUNY Oneonta defeated Brockport, 4-3, in the second game of a doubleheader this past Saturday.

Jones was the DH for the game and entered the game in the top of the eighth as a pitcher with Oneonta trailing 3-2.  Jones hit a single to drive in the game-tying run in the bottom of the eighth and then hit another single in the bottom of the 10th to drive in the winning run.

Jones retired the Golden Eagles in order in both the ninth and tenth innings to set up the 10th inning heroics.
