Cox travelled with the men's track and field team to the Cortland Classic held by SUNY Cortland this last weekend. He came away with a third place finish overall in the Decathalon, scoring 5794 points. His point total broke the old school record set back in 2007 by Adam Remillard by more than 400 points.
Dustin finished in fifth place or better in seven of the ten events which included winning the 110m high hurdles in a time of 16.43. He was second in the 100m dash, the high jump and the long jump. Cox finished fourth in the pole vault and was fifth in both the 400m dash and the javelin.
