Weinert and the men’s track and field team travelled to the Upstate Classic hosted by Rensselaer last Saturday and came home with a new school record.

Patrick won the hammer throw and in doing so set a new school record that had previously been set by teammate J.D. Roth the previous week at Cortland.  Weinert’s throw of 54.42m (178’ 6”) is 1.35m further than the old mark.

The throw also set a new personal best of almost 5 meters for Patrick as the his previous best was 49.50m set at the 2012
Cortland Classic.
