Parsons had a big day in the hammer throw last Friday at the SUNY Cortland Invitational, setting a new personal best in the second meet of the outdoor season.

Kate threw over five meters farther in recording a huge personal record in winning the hammer throw event on the day. Her distance of 49.49 meters (162’ 4”) soared past her old mark of 44.21m set last spring. The distance qualified her for the ECAC championships in May.
