Ascher pitched 6 1/3 scoreless innings of shutout baseball in leading the Red Dragons to its first win of the season this past Saturday at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. Ascher struck out seven batters and allowed only five hits in the outing, which evened his record at 1-1 while loweing his earned run average to 0.93.
