Fox competed at the Gotham Cup hosted by NYU at the Armory in New York City and came away with two personal bests and top 8-finishes.

Joe finished 8th and recorded a personal best mark in the weight throw by heaving it 15.73m, beating his old mark of 14.95m, which was set at the Ithaca Quad Meet.

Fox finished 6th in the shot put with a throw of 14.79m, again setting a personal best.
