SUNY Oneonta Athletics

Stauss is a four-year member of the men's track & field team competing in the jumps and sprints.  This year he is serving as a team Captain.  During his first season with Oneonta, he earned SUNYAC All-Conference Third Team honors after being a part of the 4x400-meter relay foursome that placed third at the conference championship meet.  During last year's indoor season, Stauss established personal best performances in both the long jump (6.24 meters, 20'-5 3/4") and the 200-meter dash (23.69 seconds).

Stauss is majoring in Biology with a concentration in Ecology and Conservational Science.  He has field experience as a leader for the Catskill Regional Invasive Species Partnership where he has worked the last two summers.  Stauss was a Watershed Steward in 2019 and served as a Watershed Steward Supervisor in 2020.  Stauss has also volunteered his time as a junior Counselor at the Edward F. Kehoe Green Mountain Conservation Camp while being involved in the SPARCNet Project with Red Salamanders.

Stauss is a member of SAAC and is involved with the Ski and Snowboard Club on campus.
