SUNY Oneonta Athletics

    Kowalski scored two goals for Oneonta last Friday as they defeated visiting Cortland 2-1 in overtime. His first goal came in the 7th minute of play as he sent a booming kick from 25 yards out over the keeper’s head and into the net.
    His second goal was scored almost the exact same way as the first in the first overtime period. He received a pass from his teammate and chipped it over the keeper’s head into the back of the net from about 20 yards out.
    Kowalski was instrumental in helping the men’s soccer team clinch their first SUNYAC regular season title since becoming eligible in 2008 for the SUNYAC tournament.
