Cervantes successfully defended his SUNYAC title in the weight throw this past Saturday at the conference championship meet. His performance help the men secure fourth place overall.

Cervantes bettered the second place competitor by 16 inches in recording a personal best throw of 18.18 meters (59’-7 3/4”). His mark also moved him into the top-10 nationally in Division III, as he strengthened his spot for the NCAA championship meet in two weeks.
