Chu earned the title in the 141-pound weight class this past Saturday at the ECWC Championships.  His placement helped to lead the Red Dragons to a third place team finish.

Chu began his day with an 18-4 major decision over Ithaca’s Brecan Saul. In the semifinals, Chu earned a technical fall win over RIT’s Joey Brillo to advance to the finals. In the championship match, Chu battled his way to a 3-0 decision over Ithaca’s Tito Colom.
