Sutherland helped the men’s soccer team win the SUNYAC Conference Tournament title with two game winning goals in the semifinal game versus New Paltz and the championship game versus Plattsburgh.

Against Plattsburgh, Jake took the ball down the left flank and broke in towards goal where he was able to slide a shot by the Plattsburgh keeper.

In the game versus New Paltz, Sutherland scored in the 55th minute to lift the Red Dragons past the Hawks. His goal showed some skill as he first won a head ball then beat a defender before putting the ball inthe back of the goal.

Sutherland was named to the All-Tournament team.
