DeSimone helped the women’s soccer team go 3-0 thispast week with wins over city rival Hartwick and SUNYAC foesPotsdam and Plattsburgh.

In the 2-1 win over Hartwick, Karly was able to deflect a shot by teammate Jess Lyden into the goal to pick up her first goal of the season.

Against Potsdam, DeSimone headed home two balls from Kayla Brantmeyer. The first came in the second minute of play as she got her head on a throw-in and flicked it over the goalkeeper and just under the crossbar. In the 57th minute, Karly headed home a Brantmeyer cross from the flank.
