Sam Rogers (Broadalbin, N.Y./Broadalbin-Perth) was named the SUNYAC Men's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week for October 27-November 2, announced by the conference on Monday afternoon. Rogers was pivotal for Oneonta in the first round of the SUNYAC tournament as he scored a hat trick in their 3-0 road win against New Paltz to advance to the SUNYAC semifinals. Â

Joe Holder (Greenwood Lake, N.Y./Warwick) forced a turnover deep in the Hawks territory and centered it to Rogers for the goal.Â
Rogers earned the hat trick in the 60th minute after he received a centering pass from senior
Luigi Prosperi (Lynbrook, N.Y./Lynbrook). He is currently tied for second on the team, with Holder, in goals (6) and points (15). In the SUNYAC, Rogers and Holder are tied for sixth in points and tied for seventh in goals. Â
Oneonta (11-4-3) is on the road for their conference semifinal matchup with Cortland (12-1-4) on Wednesday, November 5, at 1 pm.
