Ritter Monfort will be the first women’s tennis player to be enshrined in the athletics Hall of Fame. Ritter Monfort finished her four-year career with an overall record of 40-5 in singles including a perfect 11-0 record as a senior. She was the SUNYAC champion as a freshman at third singles in 1987. She won back-to-back SUNYAC first doubles titles in 1988 and 1989.
Ritter Monfort graduated with a degree in Food and Business before earning a Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology from Adelphi University.
Ritter Monfort headed to San Francisco to work in cardiac rehab before coming back to New York to work as a personal trainer. She currently is a stay-at-home mom, raising four children ages 9-16. She still finds time to play tennis 2-3 times a week in various leagues.
