Winn graduated as one of the greatest grapplers in history after a tremendous four-year career with the Red Dragons. Winn’s career was highlighted by a third place finish at the 2005 NCAA Division III championships, which at the time, was the highest finish ever for an Oneonta wrestler. It was eclipsed until this past year when James Bethel finished second.
Winn was a two-time NCAA qualifier, four-time All-State wrestler, three-time Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference All-Conference honoree and an ECWC champion in 2003. He was also a three-time NWCA Scholar All-American for his accomplishments in the classroom. He currently is the all-time leader in wins (131) and graduated as the leader in single season wins (42), dual-match wins (59) and pins (32), which have been eclipsed by the aforementioned Bethel.
Winn was a 2007 graduate in the 3-2 engineering program where he finished his final two years at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. In 2008, he received a Master of Engineering from Rensselaer. From 2007-11, Winn was a project engineer for AECOM before spending two years with Abscope Environmental as a project manager. He currently is project manager with Winn Construction Services, Inc.
