Alex Brannan was a four-year member of the men’s soccer team and earned All-America honors as a senior.  During his career he helped lead the Red Dragons to a 42-14-7 record, including three seasons with 10 or more victories.  He played in 62 career games and collected five goals and nine assists as a defender.  He was a four-time All-SUNYAC selection, two-time All-State performer, and MVP of the Mayor’s Cup Tournament as a junior.

Brannan played professionally for the Denver Avalanche of the MISL in 1980 and 1981 before working as an assistant coach at the College from 1982 to 1985. 

Currently the head boys soccer coach at Oneonta High School, he has led his team to several conference titles and one State title. Brannan has been selected as Coach of the Year four times by the “Daily Star” and once by the Division.
